Project Description
For almost 8 years, I was the Designer and then Art Director for The Hockey News magazine. At one point, it was a weekly publication, whereby we were turning around 60+ design pages each week. Lately, it has cut back to being a monthly publication, but during my years as the Art Director, we designed and developed the iPad edition. So on top of all the print designs, we were also in charge or translating each page for the iPad edition. As the Art Director, I designed the overall look and feel of the layouts and my design team would maintain those templates through each issue. I personally worked on 2 redesigns of the interior pages, as well as the inception and creation of the iPad edition. Some features were template heavy, while the rest were fresh and unique designs each week, all the while staying within the established branding guidelines.Project Details
